Old videos worth a free pass to LA Fitness

LA Fitness is offering people the opportunity to trade in their celebrity workout videos for a free five-day pass.

Yolande Green, group studio trainer for LA Fitness, said: 'Celebrity videos deliver a generic message, they are in no way tailored to the individual at home attempting to follow what can be a complicated demanding routine.

'A one-size fits all approach to exercise can be very unrealistic and encourages people to try to become something they are not.'

LA Fitness hopes the offer will 'highlight that exercising, with a professional instructor, at a gym or studio is the best way to get long-term results.'

The company also recently introduced a group cycle class taught purely to the soundtrack of this year's Brit Award winners. Green said: 'Having music participants recognise and enjoy can make a real difference to a workout!'

After trials in London clubs, the workout is expected to be rolled out across the group by the end of March.
