New year’s Resolution for sporting partnership
STA Excel, a subsidiary of the Swimming Teachers’ Association (STA), and Gray Baynes & Shew, an architect firm, have combined forces to create a new player in the leisure development sector.
The two companies have formed a new entity – Resolution – in an attempt to create avenues for joint development schemes in the industry.
STA Excel’s experience in consultancy, training, marketing and customer consultation will be combined with Oxford-based Gray Baynes’ architectural experience to bid for leisure projects.
The company aims to get involved in the development of swimming pools, leisure and visitor centres, parks and other landscape projects.
Steve Franks, director at STA, sad: “The joint venture will add dimension to the company’s service and product offering.”
Nigel Spawton, partner at Gray Baynes & Shew, believes the amalgamation will benefit both parties.
“This cooperation with a leading sports body gives us a greater reach in the fast-developing leisure services market and allows us access to a wider client base over a broad geographical area,” he said. Details: www.sta.co.uk/excel/excel.htm or Gray Baynes & Schew, + 44 (0)1865 248 488
