A new online programme is being developed to support tourism in Glasgow in the build up to the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
The Glasgow Welcomes course has been developed by Flow Training for the Glasgow Tourism Service Initiative, with the key aim being to help tourism industry staff to offer up-to-date advice on what there is to see and do in the city.
Initially available as a one-day workshop, the programme is moving online to enable the city’s 40,000 tourism and hospitality workers to easily access customer service training in advance of Glasgow 2014.
The two-hour online training module is funded by Scottish Enterprise, with additional funding coming from Skills Development Scotland and Glasgow City Council.
