A number of new development opportunities are being proposed for the 240-hectare (593-acre) Donington Park Racing Circuit site near Kegworth, East Midlands.

Multi-disciplinary engineering and architecture firm Pick Everard announced that the plans are designed to attract new investment to the area and boost the local economy. A motorsport manufacturing and industrial site anchored by Norton Motorcycles and new infield enterprise facilities for motorsport, entertainment and hospitality firms are planned.

Donington Park Racing chair Kevin Wheatcroft said: "Development of the site would bring benefits to the immediate area in terms of employment and wealth creation for the long term." Prospect Leicestershire CEO David Hughes added: "Development at Donington Circuit will not only put the venue back on the international motor racing map but will also create jobs and attract investment into North West Leicestershire."
