New dance classes designed by 'Strictly' stars to be launched this year
Leisure management company Everyone Active is to introduce a new dance fitness routine to its schedules, developed by Strictly Come Dancing stars Natalie Lowe and Ian Waite.
Called Fitsteps, the classes have been created in partnership with six-time world champion swimmer Mark Foster.
The celebrity trio has worked closely with health and fitness professionals to develop a routine that combines Latin and ballroom dances with fitness techniques.
Michelle Bletso, Everyone Active's group fitness development manager, said: "We really liked the idea of Fitsteps but the true test is to see how members enjoy the routine.
"The next stage is for the Fitsteps team to train our trainers so that we can add the class to our timetables. The training will take a few months and I'd like to think we will see Fitsteps on our new Autumn schedules."
Everyone Active is the trading name for Sports Leisure Management (SLM) who operate leisure centres in partnership with local councils across England.
