New brand identity for Volleyball England
National governing body Volleyball England has completed an overhaul of its image as part of a "brand repositioning" exercise that aims to boost participation and awareness.
A new logo and colour scheme has been unveiled as part of the revamp, which will be rolled out across the organisation over the coming months to help attract a wider audience to complement the Go Spike campaign. London-based consultancy Thinkfarm was appointed to lead the scheme to rebrand Volleyball England, which is the national governing body for all forms of the sport in England, including beach and sitting volleyball.
Volleyball England president Richard Callicott said: "We want over a half million people to experience Volleyball for the first time by 2013. The Go Spike! campaign and new rebranding is at the heart of this objective to get more people playing volleyball." Lisa Wainwright, the organisation's chief executive, added: "In order to achieve the highest standards of volleyball in this country, we felt that the organisation needed a new look that truly represented the modern, innovative, and professional qualities of both the sport and the Volleyball England organisation."
