New brand identity for Aberdeen
The North East of Scotland Economic Forum (NESEF) has unveiled a new brand identity for Aberdeenshire to promote the region to tourists.
The new identity, Aberdeen City and Shire, with the strapline ‘a brighter outlook’ has been created to address the issues of low awareness, lack of understanding and the perceived remoteness of Aberdeen city and shire.
The move will also see the NESEF adopting the new name, Aberdeen City and Shire Economic Forum (ACSEF).
Councillor Kate Dean, chair of ACSEF, said: “The brand will help us deliver our key objectives, which are to improve the perception of the region, develop people and skills, grow business and tourism, establish the region as a world class location and create sustainable communities.”
Andy Flower, managing director of Aberdeen Airport, said: “The key is now to get people behind the brand and use it to build the reputation of our region.”
