The Purdew Health Farm Group has acquired its fourth health farm.
The owners of luxury health farms Henlow Grange in Bedfordshire, Forest Mere in Hampshire and Springs in Leicestershire, renown for such celebrity guests as Victoria and David Beckham, Joan Collins and Jamie Oliver, have now added Inglewood Health Farm in Berkshire to their portfolio.
The former stately home near Hungerford, was built as a falconry for Henry VIII and was used as a monastery before being converted to a health hydro during the 1970s.
Mother and son Dorothy and Stephen Purdew are to embark on an extensive refurbishment and extension programme costing around £13m, to bring Inglewood up to the standard of the group's existing health farms.
