New Year at the Dome
The Ministry of Sound will return to the Dome to celebrate New Year's Eve 2001.
This year, The Ministry, which held a New Year party in the buildings surrounding the Dome in 2000, are hosting the event inside the Dome itself, which can hold 40,000 people.
Ministry of Sound director, Mark Rodol, hopes the size of the Dome will mean that less people are unable to get tickets. Now we're in the Dome itself and there's no better venue for a New Year's Eve party anywhere in the world.
English Partnerships, the regeneration agency that has control of the Dome, are planning to encourage other events such as this, and rent the Dome out for private functions from the end of this month. The structure will be available for anyone who approaches English Partnerships, and rental fees will be decided individually for each case.
Tickets for the Ministry's New Year event go on sale Monday 22 October. Call 0115 912 9000 for details.
