A new five-star hotel and spa has opened in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia - which is seen as an emerging market for luxury property.
Owned by Ethiopian entrepreneur and investor Emane Gebreselassie, The Capital Hotel and Spa cost 720m birr (£25.7m, US$39m, €30m) and covers 19,383sq metres (208,600sq feet) of space with 114 guest rooms.
Further development on the hotel continues, with a number of leisure facilities still under construction. These include an outdoor swimming pool, a health club and a large wellness spa, which are expected to open in the coming months.
The spa and gym services will be housed in different buildings, with separate floors for ladies and gentlemen.
Exact spa details are yet to be confirmed but facilities will include a sauna, Moroccan bath, relaxation areas, barber's shop, hair salon and a kids club. Treatments on offer will include a range of massages, facials and body scrubs.
