Netherlands' first branded experience opens
The first brand attraction in The Netherlands opened this month at Efteling theme park. Panda Droom (Panda Vision) is a joint effort between Efteling, The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and EXP experience design.
The aim of Panda Vision is to increase visitor's awareness of the need for the protection of nature and was an alternative way for this non-profit organisation to reach the public without spending millions on mass media. Panda Droom comprises a pre-show area with a film about animals in their natural habitat and a main show area with a 3D computer animated film following the stories of three animal characters showing the problems of global warming, deforestation and over fishing.
The edutainment centre contains a WWF clubhouse, 50 interactive units, five themed expeditions, 40 peep, listen and touch holes, computer games, a shop and themed restaurant. Details: www.efteling.nl
