National Restaurateurs’ Dinner 2008
This year sees the 21st anniversary of the National Restaurateurs’ Dinner, which is the annual fundraising event for three of the Hospitality Industry’s most well known organisations: The Restaurant Association, The Academy of Food & Wine and The Academy of Culinary Arts.
The event, which is in association with Mövenpick, will take place on Monday, 14 April 2008 at The Dorchester Hotel in London.
The Academy of Food & Wine will be chairing the dinner and hopes to unite the talents of all three organisations in a joint effort to raise funds for the various education and training initiatives available to the industry.
These projects aim to tackle the worst of the problems facing the industry today; namely those of skills shortages and training for young men and women looking for a career the hospitality profession.
A team of top chefs from The Academy of Culinary Arts will be working under team leader, Henry Brosi, Executive Chef of The Dorchester to prepare a delicious evening meal. They include:
Andreas Antona – Chef Proprietor, Simpsons Restaurant
Adam Byatt – Chef Proprietor, Trinity Restaurant William Curley – Patissier Chocolatier, William Curley
Anton Edelmann – Chef Patron, Anton’s
Each course will be matched with appropriate excellent wines which will be hand selected by The Academy of Food and Wine.
