Myzone secures Hero partnership deal
Wearable technology company Myzone has secured a partnership deal with fitness tech and services company Hero Wellbeing.
Hero will integrate the Myzone heart rate and tracking products in its programmes as part of plans to strengthen personalisation and "shareability" across its fitness services. It will also work with Myzone to offer privilege rates, education and content to its growing network of corporate clients.
Hero currently operates mainly in the corporate fitness market, but is currently preparing to launch its Performance Hubs across the UK, with the first set to open in early 2019.
The company has signed a number of partnerships in the run-up to the launch.
In April, it agreed a deal to make the Les Mills On Demand available across its technology platform and live classes in the UK – with the view of introducing the classes to the forthcoming hubs.
Commenting on the Myzone deal, Hero Wellbeing CEO Joe Gaunt said: "What will appeal to our clients and customers is that with Myzone you can level the playing field. Someone taking their first steps on a healthier journey or someone who works out every day can compete fairly against each other.
"Research shows that employees want personalised experiences when it comes to wellbeing and wellness.
"Technology can also be used to help connect employees with similar health and wellness goals as well as support and reward individual progress. Employers can expect to see higher participation rates with a more personalised approach to employee wellness."
Dave Wright, Myzone CEO added: "It's great to be working with Hero and I see a clear synergy with both organisations; focussing on making physical activity more fun and rewarding for participants.
"I believe the company is offering something truly unique and it looks set to disrupt the marketplace.
"It's a great opportunity for Myzone to work and expand its reach within the corporate wellness market but also with the group training and club sector when hero launches its performance hubs."
