Mytime Active picks up Health Trainer contract
Social enterprise Mytime Active has been awarded the contract to deliver the Heath Trainer service across Norfolk.
Health Trainers are recruited from within the community and are trained to motivate people to change their behaviour and lifestyles, including increasing levels of physical activity, stop smoking and lose weight.
They are trained to assist clients on a one-to-one or group basis, assessing their health and lifestyle risks.
The service will be delivered through the Mytime Health division and the three-year contract was awarded following a tender process.
Annie Holden, manager of Mytime's Health division said: "As well as helping individuals to make healthier choices, the service will ultimately reduce demand on the NHS.
"The Health Trainer service concentrates on boosting wellbeing by helping people make changes in four key areas: eating healthier; getting more active and stopping smoking or reducing alcohol consumption."
