Museums Galleries Scotland announces successful funding applicants
Museums Galleries Scotland (MGS) has announced that 19 applicants across the country have been successful in securing a share of £250,000 through its main grant fund.
North Lanarkshire Council is among those to receive funding, with a £21,180 award going towards the restoration of a replica Vulcan - the first all iron-hulled boat launched in 1819.
Elsewhere, South Ayrshire Council has secured more than £15,000 to help fund a planned renovation of Rozelle House and the University of Stirling was handed a £14,000 grant.
MGS CEO Joanne Orr said: "We are pleased to be able to fund these inspiring projects which demonstrate the vision of the people working in our museums and galleries throughout the country."
