More than 6,000 people to take part in Bali yoga festival
The BaliSpirit Festival has announced the lineup for its 2017 vintage, set to take place in Ubud between 19-26 March.
The festival – celebrating its 10th anniversary – caters to those who wish to celebrate yoga, dance and holistic lifestyles, and attracts more than 6,000 people from over 50 countries each year.
More than 200 daytime workshops and events will take place this year, including yoga classes, health seminars, healing sessions, meditation and more.
The daytime lineup includes:
• Duncan Wong - creator of Yogic Flow Arts System, an integrated collaboration of martial arts, yoga and Thai massage • Katchie Ananda - international yoga and dharma teacher, with certificates in anusara, jivamukti, integral and ashtanga yoga
• Nice Hanley - founder of Disco Yoga Flow• Tara Judelle - international yoga teacher and co-founder of Embodied Flow
• Timid Howard - vinyasa yoga teacher and holistic health coach• Vincent Bolletta - international yoga teacher and ashtanga, vinyasa and yoga therapy expert.
The evening sessions will see a series of music performances from artists across the world, folk and electronic genres.
Artists performing on the ‘One World One Stage’ platform at this year’s festival include Australian singer-songwriter, social and environmental activist, and multi-instrumentalist Xavier Rudd, as well as harmonic vocal singer Zap Mama and feel-good Indian artists, Chugge Khan & Rajasthan Josh.
