More Energy Fitness Centre Opens at Brunel
A new health and fitness club, called More Energy, has been officially opened at the Brunel University by former running legend Linford Christie.
The site is replaces the former fitness centre on the campus, which was completely redeveloped and redesigned by London-based Energy Fitness Professionals, which will also manage the facility on behalf of the university.
Facilities at More Energy include 53 cardiovascular and resistance stations, a separate free weights area and stretching areas as well as a large aerobics and exercise studio for group classes.
The centre is open to university students and staff as well as the general public, and offers members personal training, weight management courses, health screenings and fitness testing.
Alan Gallacher, Energy Fitness Professionals director, said: “I am very excited about this new relationship between us and the university.
I feel that we will bring a lot of ne knowledge, quality and cutting edge technology to the centre.”
The university site is the second operated by EFP within an academic institution. It also manages a similar site at the Uxbridge College in Hayes, West London.
