Michelin-starred chef sells flagship restaurant
Michelin-starred chef and industry consultant, Pat McDonald, has sold his flagship restaurant, The Epicurean, in Pershore Worcestershire.
The restaurant has been bought by Indian restaurant chain owners, H Miah and A Rahman, for in excess of £60,000 for the remaining seven years of the current lease.
McDonald has sold the site, which has a 30-cover restaurant, 10-cover lounge and rear garden in order to concentrate on other business interests in the Midlands. He has also expressed a desire to open the first Michelin-starred restaurant in Birmingham.
He has previously worked as sous chef at The Dorchester Hotel under Anton Mosimann, been consultant chef for Sir Terence Conran and Harvey Nichols and consultant chef and restaurant advisor to Sir Rocco Forte’s RF Hotels group.
The sale was handled by Christie & Co.
