Fitness First will open its latest health club in Danmansara Uptown 5, Malaysia on 1 December, bringing the total number of clubs it now operates in Asia to 15.

18 months ago, the group opened its first club in Asia and plans to open a further six more in the region over the next six months.

The 12,000 sq ft Damansara Uptown 5 club will feature a comprehensive gym area featuring strength training equipment from Technogym's selection line. A Cardio Theatre Entertainment Zone will house over 70 cardio vascular machines including steppers, rowers, bikes, ellipticals and treadmills. The club will have three group exercise studios - one for multipurpose, one for indoor cycling and another for mind and body classes.

New members will get a 'Fitness First backpack' containing stereo headphones for the cardio theatre, towel, water bottle, t-shirt and a guide to a healthier lifestyle. Members will be able to take advantage of the clubs locker rooms with sauna and steam and the complimentary members lounge - a fixture in all Fitness First clubs, offering soft drinks and a library of VCD's.
