Macrobiotic wellness clinic for Spain
A new wellness clinic called SHA is to open this July on the Mediterranean coast of Spain.
Situated close to the El Albir beach, SHA will be marketed as a destination spa offering the macrobiotic diet system developed by Michio Kushi, a leading representative of macrobiotics.
SHA consists of five individual buildings with interconnecting bridges and containing 93 suites, ranging from 904sq ft (84sq m) to 3445sq ft (320sq m) in size. Facilities will include zen gardens and whirlpools.
While macrobiotics will be the cornerstone of SHA, the clinic will also offer a range of alternative health practices, natural therapies and aesthetic medicine.
Owned and developed by the Bataller family, the creation of the clinic was influenced by Alfredo Bataller Parietti’s personal experience of the benefits of a macrobiotic diet.
The SHA Method will focus on an understanding of the rhythm of nature and conscious eating, together with lifestyle choices.
