MALO Clinic gears up for entry into Asia

An 84,400sq ft (7,841sq m) MALO Clinic and medical spa is to open at The Venetian Macao resort hotel in Macau, China, in mid 2009.

Solely owned and managed by the MALO Clinic Health Group, the US$46m (£32.4m, 36.6m euro) clinic will be located on the fifth floor of the The Venetian hotel.

It will have six operating theatres, a total of 58 spa rooms plus wet and hydrotherapy facilities.

Services on offer will include general surgery, ophthalmology, plastic surgery, physical surgery and esthetics.

The clinic will be staffed by 50 medical doctors and more than 100 spa therapists and will mark Dr Malo’s first entry into the Asian market.

It will utilise diagnostic technology such as MRI, ophthalmologic laser and digital mammography.
