Luxury new hotel treatment for pampered pooches
The luxury four-star Trianon Palace hotel in Paris has begun offering pet dogs a real VIP welcome with 24-hour room service, gourmet titbits and an exercise track.
The new programme, called ‘Heavenly Pets,’ is aimed at luring two-legged clients to stay by offering four-star services for their pet dogs. According to the Trianon,“ a dog’s stay should be as unforgettable as that of its master”.
The 365 euro package includes a luxury room for the dog owners and two breakfasts. Extras such as a bath, dog-sitter or even a visit by a specialist psychologist are billed separately.
“This is just one of our special offers, the same way we do special golf or spa packages,” said the hotel’s PR manager Vanina Minassian-Sommer.
Another Parisian hotel, the five-star Hotel de Crillon, also tempts doggie owners by offering a ‘Dog de Crillon’ programme. Visiting dogs are given an identification tag for their collar engraved with their own name on one side and the address of the hotel on the other, in case they lose their way, a toy bone containing fluorides, a bottle of mineral water and biscuits.
A special dog dinner costs 15 euros, while sitters, shampoos and bilingual vets are also available on request.
