Luxury hotel group Eton enters administration
KPMG's Jane Moriarty and Allan Graham have been named joint administrators of the London-based upmarket hotel operator, the Eton Group.
Five boutique properties that comprise part of the Eton Collection are affected by the proceedings, including Quebecs in Leeds and The Glasshouse in Edinburgh. Three London hotels - Threadneedles Hotel, the City of London; The Colonnade, Little Venice; and The Academy in Bloomsbury - are also in administration.
However, the 42 Calls in Leeds and the Scotsman in Edinburgh - also part of the Eton Collection - are not included as part of the administration proceedings. Moriarty said: "We are continuing to trade the business while we assess the position of the hotels. Historically, however, the hotels have traded successfully and are well regarded at the luxury end of the market so we are hopeful of securing a successful resolution to this situation."
