London Living Wage launched for Aquaterra casual staff
Aquaterra is proud to announce that the agreed pay settlement for 2013/14 achieves the charity's commitment to pay the London Living Wage to all Aquaterra staff.
The current payment of £8.55 per hour will be extended to all staff employed on a casual basis. Permanent staff are already paid the London Living Wage.
Antony Kildare, Chief Executive said: "The London Living Wage is all about fairness and we are delighted that this pay settlement has enabled us to bring the earnings of our casual staff in line with permanent staff. As a registered charity and a progressive organisation, we believe it is essential to invest in our workforce and our local communities.
"We are very pleased to have been fully supported by our partners, Islington Council, in achieving this goal."
Aquaterra will implement the London Living Wage as soon as it is possible and will confirm the expected timelines shortly.
