London Live planned for 2012 Games
Three open-air locations across Central London are to play host to a major "celebration" of sports and entertainment during the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games next summer.
Hyde Park, Victoria Park and Trafalgar Square have been unveiled as the venues for London Live, which will be delivered by international event promoters Live Nation.
Live Nation is working with the mayor of London; the Royal Parks and the London Borough of Tower Hamlets on the scheme, which will provide outdoor screenings of 2012 events.
In addition to allowing crowds to watch live sporting action from the Games, the locations are also in line to provide entertainment and attractions such as live music and arts performances.
London mayor Boris Johnson said: "We are creating a jam-packed programme of exciting events that will show the city at its very best and ensure as many people as possible across the capital feel a part of the celebrations.
"London Live will be a thrilling highlight in a summer of highlights, allowing even more people to watch awe inspiring sporting heroes in high definition action for free, and other fantastic attractions for Londoners and visitors alike."
