Linq project to 'revitalise' Las Vegas strip
Caesar Entertainment has unveiled plans for the new US$550m (£334m, EUR384m) Linq project - a retail, dining, entertainment and hospitality district on the Las Vegas Strip, US.
At the centre of the development will be an urban entertainment district with an observation wheel called The Las Vegas High Roller - one of the world's tallest at 550ft (168m). The Linq project will also see improvements to three mid-Strip resorts operated by Caesar Entertainment and O'Sheas casino and will entail façade, casino and reception upgrades.
It is hoped that the tenant mix will appeal to a "growing Gen X and Gen Y clientèle" aged between 21 and 46, which is expected to account for 52 per cent of local spending by 2015. Caesar Entertainment chair, president and CEO Gary Loveman said: "The Linq is going to be the new address for fun at the centre of the Las Vegas Strip."
