Leisure facilities and restaurants are included among the potential uses being suggested in a development brief for a central Durham site, which is to be considered by councillors.
Durham City Council's (DCC) cabinet will discuss the document tomorrow (30 May) and is looking to bring about the removal or renovation of the Millburngate House.
Taylor Young drew up the brief in collaboration with site owner NS&I and the council. The document contains potential uses, design guidelines and site constraints.
DCC cabinet member for regeneration and economic development Neil Foster said: "Millburngate House occupies a prime central location which, with careful planning, could add real value to the city's offer."
