Serco Leisure has secured a five-year contract extension to manage three leisure sites in Hampshire.

As part of the contract extension with the borough council, Serco and Basingstoke and Deane Community Leisure Trust will upgrade the facilities at three sites in Basingstoke and Deane.

Planned improvements include:

• installing a 40-station Gym at Tadley Pool

• adding an 18-hole family adventure Golf course at Basingstoke Golf Club and modernising the driving range

• refurbishing the gym and studio at the Basingstoke Aquadrome with new equipment, and expanding it to offer 130 stations.

“As a Hampshire-based business, we are very proud of our track record in helping local people in Basingstoke and Deane to get active by providing a range of high-quality yet affordable leisure options,” said Alan Elliott, partnership director at Serco.

“Our plans for the next five years will help us to make the facilities even more compelling, and we’re very pleased to have the opportunity to continue serving the local community.”

The contract extension with Basingstoke and Deane District Council runs until December 2022.
