Le Méridien opens first hotel and spa resort in Nepal
Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts’ first opening in Nepal, south Asia – the Le Méridien Kathmandu, Gokarna Forest Golf Resort & Spa – features a two storey, 14,000sq ft (1,300sq m) Harmony Spa.
The US$570,000 (£320,000, 468,000 euro) spa – which is located within the Gokarna Forest – comprises three treatment rooms, an indoor pool complex, a sauna, a steamroom, whirlpool and a gym.
Signature treatments include the Harmony Spa facial – which uses products supplied by L’Oreal – and Golfer massage, which uses oil manufactured by Himalaya.
The facility also offers Ayurvedic treatments, rejuvenation therapies, Swedish massage and Asian blend massage.
Le Méridien Kathmandu consists of 38 deluxe rooms, 16 cottages and one suite and features an 18-hole golf course set against the backdrop of the Himalayas. Details: www.lemeridien.com
