Kempinski set to launch three new spa hotels
Kempinski Hotels has extended its spa offering with the introduction of new facilities at the recently revamped Kilimanjaro Hotel Kempinski Dar es Salaam and also at the new Kempinski Hotel The Dome in Belek and the Kempinski Hotel Barbaros Bay in Bodrum, both in Turkey.
The Kilimanjaro Hotel – which is set to reopen this September after a three-year US$40m (£22m, 32m euro) revamp – features a 20m infinity outdoor pool and a Anantara Health and Beauty Spa, which is operated by Mandara. The spa includes five private treatment rooms, a hair salon and a gymnasium.
The new 173-room Kempinski Hotel Barbaros Bay is scheduled to open Turkey’s largest spa in October – the 5,000sq m (53,800sq ft) Six Senses Spa.
The facility will include three saunas; a whirlpool; steamrooms; four Turkish hammams, two of which are private; a Russian sauna; four massage rooms; a watsu water massage room; a colour therapy room, an Oriental massage room, four beauty rooms and cooling chambers.
Products will be supplied by Australian natural skincare company Sodashi, with signature scents including bergamot, lime and cardamom.
The Dome in Belek, which opened in July, offers a 3,600sq m (38,750sq ft) Thal‚ion Spa and Thalasso Centre, which features an indoor pool leading to a heated outdoor pool. A second pool is surrounded by waterfalls and a Japanese zen garden with outdoor massage tents. The spa also has a Turkish bath, whirlpool and fitness centre. Details: www.kempinski.com
