June launch for Health Club Games
The Health Club Games is set to hit clubs across the country next month following its debut last year.
Around 300 clubs and centres across the UK have already signed up to the challenge, which is run by The Fix UK in association with the homeless charity Shelter.
Sponsored by Oracle, the initiative encourages members to take part in a variety of events at their local club including rowing, running and cycling as well as the Superthon, a decathlon-style event based on a points system.
Once registered, members receive an online profile so they can track their progress as well as that of every other person signed up to the competition. Participants enter the results of each training session and, from then onwards, the focus is to train, track and make the best personal improvements before the closing date in October.
Prizes will be awarded for those who make the best personal improvements in both training and performance. Details: www.healthclubgames.com
