Italy's Castelfalfi holiday resort goes coastal
Italian holiday estate, Castelfalfi, has teamed up with Marina di Scarlino to offer guests a beach break, to complement its offering in the rolling hills of Tuscany.
Castelfalfi is the first venture into operating for German tour operator, TUI. It acquired a village in Tuscany which had been deserted since the 1960s and is restoring all of the buildings to include holiday and residential accommodation, a hotel, restaurants, bars, spa, swimming pool and golf courses – as profiled in the 2013 Q4 edition of Leisure Management magazine.
Marketing director at Castelfalfi, Chiara Guidi says: “This partnership will allow our guests to benefit from the marina’s facilities, including access to Puro Beach and the possibility to rent sail boats and go on tours around Elba Island and the Mediterranean Coast.”
Everything will be tailor made and sold directly by the estate on request to guests staying at Hotel La Tabaccaia, the luxury rental properties and the owners of apartments and farmhouses.
So far TUI has renovated 41 of the estate’s apartments, opened 12 shops and completed the swimming pool which has spectacular views over the estate.
