Finalists for the UK Active Awards 2024 have been announced.

Winners from across the 14 categories will be revealed at a ceremony at the International Convention Centre in Birmingham on 3 October.

This year’s categories include new additions, with the Outstanding Leadership Award separated into two individual awards: Outstanding Individual Leader and Outstanding Leadership Team.

It’s an all-female lineup for the Jan Spaticchia Special Recognition Award: Carolyn Hallam, health and wellbeing manager, Serco; Sarah Roberts, head of fitness, PFP Leisure and Tara Dillon, CEO, CIMSPA.

Ali Beckman, STA’s president and the headline sponsor for the awards, says: “This year’s finalists have shown true innovation and creativity and should be congratulated.”

Huw Edwards, CEO of UK Active, says the judges had a tough task to choose the shortlist from a strong list of entries and nominations.

David Bibby, MD at Everyone Active, said: "We're thrilled to be shortlisted for 13 UK Active awards. This is a testament to the hard work and ambitions of our workforce.

"We're also proud to have two colleagues nominated for individual awards: Jacqui Tillman for Outstanding Individual Leadership and Nicole Fox for the Physical Activity Hero Award," he said.
