The International Spa Association (ISPA) is to honour Jonathan Paul DeVierville, PhD, at their annual conference and expo in Florida, US, in November.

The ISPA Dedicated Contributor Award is given to an active ISPA member who has contributed significantly to the growth of the association.

Dr DeVierVille is the director of the Alamo Plaza Spa at the Menger Hotel and Professor of History, The Humanities and Global Studies at St Philip’s College, San Antonio, Texas, US.

He was a founding member of the ISPA Foundation and served on its board from 1999 to 2006.

ISPA chair Jim Root said: “Dr DeVierville is a true advocate for the deeper purpose of spa, spa culture and the spa experience. “His tireless dedication and passion for advancing spa education will leave a lasting impression.”
