The International SPA Association (ISPA) will present a host of high-profile keynote speakers at the 25th annual ISPA Conference & Expo at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas from 19 - 21 October 2015.
“The general sessions ignite the energy within our attendees each morning; they bring the spa community together to learn from thought-provoking speakers, and challenge us to reflect within ourselves,” said ISPA chair Michael Tompkins.
Monday’s general session will kick off with a focus on technology as Randi Zuckerberg, founder and CEO of Zuckerberg Media, presents “10 Trends in Tech You Need to Know Right Now.”
Dr. Pamela Peeke, expert, physician, scientist and author in integrative medicine, will also be on hand to discuss “Brave New Spa World: Tooling Tech Touch for Tomorrow.”
Tuesday’s general session will feature Amy Purdy, American actress, model, world-class snowboarder and 2014 Paralympic bronze medalist, co-founder of Adaptive Action Sports, professional motivational speaker, clothing designer and author.
Wednesday’s general session will include a presentation from Scott Harrison, a former club promoter who founded and is the current CEO of the non-profit charity ‘water.’ Additionally, attendees will hear from Alice Waters, chef, author, and the proprietor of Chez Panisse, as she will be on hand to accept the 2015 Alex Szekely ISPA Humanitarian Award.
Also, a new pre-conference workshop will also be available to attendees on Sunday, entitled “Ruth Stricker’s Wise Voices.” This session will focus on the spirit of life lessons that enrich and enhance our lives, and will be presented by Gladys Taylor McGarey, M.D., M.D. (H), an author, family physician and co-founder of the American Holistic Medical Foundation.
