IHG secures Las Vegas Sands agreement
Las Vegas Sands Corporation's (LVSC) Venetian and Palazzo resorts will be incorporated into InterContinental Hotel Group's (IHG) portfolio under a new agreement.
A new ten-year license deal has been signed by the developer and the hotel group, which will see the resorts - located on Las Vegas Strip, US - retain their identities and independence. In return, the Venetian and Palazzo, which comprise more than 7,000 suites between them, will benefit from IHG's international operating system and loyalty scheme.
IHG Americas president Jim Abrahamson said: "This alliance with Las Vegas Sands Corp. and IHG's InterContinental brand creates a shared opportunity to give our guests access to leading luxury resorts in Las Vegas. "Las Vegas is the most requested destination for our Priority Club Rewards and Ambassador members, and these resorts epitomize the glamour of Las Vegas and provide world-class experiences that perfectly fit with what our guests want."
LVSC president and chief operating officer Michael Leven added: "This is a perfect marriage between two world-class resorts and one of the most prominent hotel companies in the world."
