Hot List 2005 launched
Condé Nast Traveller magazine has picked 60 hotels around the world for its 2005 Hot List, and included a number of British properties.
Picking the coolest new hotels around the world – this year’s list covers 26 countries from the kingdom of Bhutan to choice European sites.
Of the Hot List hotels chosen, five are situated in the UK, including the recently opened Soho Hotel in London, which was last year transformed from a former NCP car park into Firmdale Hotels’ flagship property.
The other UK sites to make the list were: Malmaison Belfast, Dakota in Nottingham, Drakes in Brighton and The Cadogan Hotel, also in London.
Around the rest of the world, New York’s Hotel Gansevoort made the list, with its 45ft long rooftop swimming pool complete with underwater music and the Murano Urban Resort in Paris, which was named after its Murano crystal chandeliers. Details: www.condenast.co.uk
