Holmes Place breaks into USA market

Holmes Place continues its international expansion programme with the launch of its first site in America this spring.

Launching in the windy city of Chicago, Holmes Place River East will boast a clubroom, bar and brasserie restaurant in luxurious surroundings.

The centre will feature four purpose-built studios providing a range of classes from body conditioning and kick boxing to pilates and yoga. There will also be a 25-metre stainless steel swimming pool, a hydrotherapy pool, sauna, steam room and solarium. Other facilities include a health and beauty clinic offering a selection of body and skin care treatments including remedial therapies, massages, reflexology, aromatherapy, manicures and facials. Members will also benefit from a day creche for children.

The chain is also currently developing its first Country Club site. Set in acres of countryside near Lake Geneva, CityGreen has two swimming pools, 11 tennis courts, four squash courts and a 12,000 sq ft gym. Children will have their own timetable of activities and an indoor adventure playground.
