Hilton Hotels and Resorts (HHR) has announced the official opening of its new AU$700m (£459m, EUR525m, US$725m) Surfers Paradise complex on Australia's Gold Coast.
The operator said that the new complex is its first in Australia to offer both guest rooms and holiday residences, with facilities also including a purpose-built eforea: spa at Hilton. Each of the spa's seven treatment rooms will boast a contemporary Vichy shower, while the facility also incorporates two double rooms for couples.
Designed to bring together three distinct ranges of treatments from around the world, eforea at Surfers Paradise will offer Peter Thomas Roth; LI'TYA; VitaMan; and Kerstin Florian. Other facilities include the 1,500sq m (16,146sq ft) Deck with four pools; a sauna; barbeque pavilions; and an outdoor terrace, along with a number of dining concepts.
HHR global head David Horton said: "Hilton Surfers Paradise presents a range of unique accommodation, dining and meeting options. "Apart from appealing to the leisure traveller, we believe that the hotel will also contribute to the growth of the meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions industry in the area."
