Hewell Grange plans put to consultation
Residents in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, are being invited to have their say on the local authority's plans to establish a new conservation area at Hewell Grange.
A public consultation has been launched by Bromsgrove District Council (BDC) to gather comments on the proposals for the site - formerly one of the largest private estates in the county. The council is aiming to designate Hewell Grange as an "area of special architectural or historic interest", with the site already a registered historic park and featuring 17 listed buildings.
Full details for the proposed designation, including boundary maps and character appraisal, will be made available to the public by BDC as part of the consultation. BDC portfolio holder for planning and regeneration Jill Dyer said: "The public consulation gives residents and local heritage groups the opportunity to tell the council their views on the proposed designation and I encourage those interested to make sure they come forward to be heard during the consultation."
The deadline for responses to the consultation is 30 July.
