Health club operator Gym Group was forced to close its club at St George Wharf in Vauxhall, following this morning's helicopter crash in central London.
Two people were killed and 12 were hurt when a helicopter crashed into a crane close to The Tower, One St George Wharf building - marketed as being one of Europe's tallest residential towers.
The Gym Group club, located just meters away from the accident, was unaffected by the incident but was closed on the instruction of the Metropolitan Police. Access to the area has also been restricted until further notice.
According to a spokesperson, a safe evacuation was carried out shortly before 9am. Gym members have been notified about the temporary closure via the company's social media channels.
