Health Fitness Corporation approaches 200
Minneapolis-based Health Fitness Corporation (HFC) has signed a number of management agreements, meaning it now has almost 200 facilities under contract.
The corporation, which provides fitness, assessment, wellness and occupational health services to corporations, hospitals and universities throughout the US and Canada, secured it's 190th contract, with Best Buy Co.
The 16,000sq ft centre is at Best Buy's new headquarters in Minnesota and is scheduled to open next May. It will offer a gym, group activity classes, personal trainers and a variety of wellness programmes.
The group has also been selected to run a new 125,000sq ft sports and fitness centre for technical and scientific university, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The Zesiger Centre will be a comprehensive aquatic facility, providing competition level diving and swimming pools plus a gym. HFC, which was established in 1975, has recently been taken on to run the 45,000sq ft Athletic Club in the centre of Cleveland and was selected by technology company 3M in October to operate its employee fitness centre at its Minnesota headquarters.
President and CEO at HFC, Jerry Noyce, is pleased with the new opportunities the company has secured: 'To earn these great companies confidence is an enormous honour and opportunity,' he says. Details: www.hfit.com
