Hard Rock Park yet to find new owner
Hard Rock Park, the US$400m (£267.6m, 287.4m euro) theme park, has failed to find a new owner after the 55-acre (22.3-hectare) attraction was put up for auction in New York, US.
Opened just eight months ago, the park's owners, HRP Myrtle Beach Holdings, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in September and was made available for a reported minimum price of US$35m (£23m, 25.1m euro). According to the Myrtle Beach Sun, the auction process got underway on 16 December. A winning bidder had been expected to be made public on 18 December for the park, which boasts more than 50 rides and attractions.
However, the auction failed to produce a new owner for Hard Rock Park and there is now further uncertainty over the future of the attraction.
