Green light for Haringey Heartlands scheme
New restaurants, cafés and bars are to be created as part of the Haringey Heartlands scheme in North London, which has been given the green light by local councillors.
Haringey Council has approved proposals for the development, which will also include new open space, housing, retail and office units and will contribute to the area's regeneration.
National Grid Property Holdings has worked with the London Development Agency on the plans, which will also deliver a Section 106 agreement to help fund other local projects.
Haringey Council leader Claire Kober said: "Approval of these plans is a huge step forward in realising our vision for Haringey Heartlands.
"This land has laid derelict for a number of years and we are looking forward to finally seeing it regenerated through a landmark scheme."
