Gran Canaria’s Meloneras coast gains Thalasso spa
A 4.5m euro (US$5.4m, £3m) Thalassotherapy spa has opened within the five-star Gran Hotel Lopesan Villa del Conde.
Situated on the Meloneras coast in the south of Gran Canaria, the 12,3000sq ft (1,200sq m) Thalasso Center was designed by Germany-based Deckelmann Wellness, and part of the spa is situated directly underneath the sea promenade of the coast.
The Center focuses on the Thalgo and Arôms Natur brands and comprises nine treatment rooms.
There are also four private suites with direct sea views, complete a with an individual-use vitality pool, an ergonomic massage bed and terrace.
Other facilities located under a central cupola include a main seawater flotation pool, a reflexology pool, a pavilion for seawater inhalation alongside aromatherapy showers, adventure showers, two room for Rhassoul baths, a tea lounge and a health and fitness area.
Treatments will include Swedish massage, reflexology, Indian head massage, wraps and facial and anti-ageing therapies, alongside mothers-to-be massages, deep back cleansing, manicures and pedicures.
The Gran Hotel Lopesan Villa del Conde is part of the Lopesan Hotels & Resorts group, which owns 25 hotels within the Canaries and who previously launched the Gran Spa Corallium in the Hotel Lopesan Coast Meloneras, also in Gran Canaria, which is part of the Luxury Hotels of the World Group.
