Goldeneye Spa to open later this year
The Island Outpost Group, owned by music mogul Chris Blackwell, is to open a spa at author Ian Fleming’s former residence, Goldeneye, in the village of Oracabessa, Jamaica.
Developed in conjunction with Thalgo Spa Management, the spa will cover 26,000sq ft (2,415sq m) and feature a lagoon at its centre, surrounded by 14 wet and dry treatment rooms.
Other features will include a shower jet, a fusion shower, a sauna, a hammam, a fitness area and a multi-functional swimming pool.
A range of treatments will be available, including massages and balneotherapy.
There will also be approximately 30 new spa lagoon cottages built adjacent to the seawater spa.
Designed by US-based Clodagh, the exteriors of the spa area will be created to be reminiscent of the old banana-loading stations on the island. (See Spa Business 08/02 p14. To order, visit www.spabusiness.com)
