Gerald Lawless to join Travelodge board
Travelodge has unveiled the appointment of Gerald Lawless, executive chair of Dubai-based hotel management company Jumeirah Group, to its board with effect from 3 May.
Lawless is set to join the budget hotel operator as non-executive director, having worked for the Dubai Holding-owned Jumeirah Group since 1997. Further to his current role, he is also a member of the Dubai Holding Executive Committee and the Emirates National Development Programme board of trustees.
Travelodge chair Grant Hearn said: "As a strong international leader, Gerald has a proven track record of building highly successful global hospitality brands. "His vast experience and knowledge will be a great asset in helping our growth strategy and taking Travelodge into new territories both in the UK and internationally."
