Fourth TiLEzone to be held next week
Profitability and sustainable technologies will be on the agenda at the fourth TiLEzone, to be held at the London Transport Museum on Covent Garden on 25 March.
The one-day event, designed for professionals in the visitor attractions industry, will examine how sustainable technologies and design techniques can improve the profitability while also improving public perception.
Among the speakers are Dr. Jim Sweitzer, principal of Science Communications Consultants and Robert Casamento, director of Ernst & Young.
Sweitzer has advised a number of museums and planetariums on the creation and content of science education. He is also a member of The Climate Project, trained by former US Vice President Al Gore in January 2007.
“When it comes to sustainability issues, venue operators, owners and suppliers are becoming more interested and thirsty for knowledge for their businesses,” said Richard Curtis of Andrich International, the company organising TiLEzone.
“As an industry, it is up to us to respond to this by making our attractions more sustainable in the way that they use energy, dispose of waste, and impact on the environment generally."
