Four Seasons Montreal on track for summer opening
International hospitality company Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts has announced that its long-anticipated resort will throw open its doors on 1 June, ahead of the Montreal Grand Prix.
Featuring 169 guest rooms and 18 private residences, Four Seasons Montreal will comprise a pool, spa with eight treatment rooms, fitness centre, and ballroom with an outdoor terrace.
The property will also be home to MARCUS – the first restaurant by celebrity chef Marcus Samuelsson to debut in Canada.
The building was designed by architecture firms Lemay+Escobar and Sid Lee, while French studio Gilles & Boissier conceptualised the hotel's amenity spaces. Food and beverage areas, including MARCUS were planned by Atelier Zébulon Perron.
Interior designer Philip Hazan was responsible for the creation of residential apartments and suites.
"The residences offer large, open spaces that we’ve approached using a precise and sophisticated design," explained Hazan.
He added: "Lavish and high-quality materials fit precisely into spacious living areas that can be adapted to match the lifestyle of every resident."
Louis T. Lemay, head architect and president at Lemay, commented: "The building’s architecture incorporates the use of noble materials like granite and marble, along with architectural details, with touches of such as insertions of golden aluminium.
"A commitment to architectural quality has been a priority throughout this project, ensuring that these residences remain a part of Montreal’s environment for years to come."
The project's developer, Canadian real estate firm Carbonleo, first struck a CAD$250m (US$189.5m, €167m, £145m) partnership deal with Four Seasons in 2016.
