First tenants named for £50m Leisuredome
A number of leisure operators have been confirmed among the first tenants to sign up to the new £50m Leisuredome development in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset.
Local businessmen Mark and Clive Hamilton-Davies are behind the scheme, which received the green light from communities secretary Eric Pickles in September.
Newly-confirmed tenants include Tiny Tearawayz, which will provide a simulated ice rink, a laser game, an activity zone and a soft play area, as well as a crèche facility for the complex.
Myrace.com has been appointed to manage ski racing; Crystal Blue is to run the surf centre and Terminal Velocity will operate the freefall centre at the Leisuredome development.
Meanwhile, brands such as Subway; SOHO Coffee Co; Tennessee Chicken; and Butcombe have also signed up, with the complex to feature one of the UK's largest indoor ski slopes.
Work is expected to begin on the project by spring 2012.
